Artist Statement

What I realy love to do is walk in the city with my camera and try to tell stories about the daily life. There are no heroes in my pictures just simple kind of things and people, because the best things are hidden around the corner! I think... My job is to find these simple treasures and show them in their most glistening appearence...
A multylayers, as I call my worked images, it is a overlap of digital pictures or better a part of them (it could be a shape, a color, a shadow or a light) that I use to complete the stories in the way that better match with my filling and poetry.

BIOGRAPHY

Born 17th February 1980 in the small town of Velletri in the Rome area. At the age of seventeen, following in the foot steps of his father, Matteo begins his work as a photographer. In 2004 he graduates with the IED School of Art Diploma in photography. In the same year he works for a London based company (FilmStudioLondon) with video editing using Final Cut Pro application. In 2007 he starts his own company in Rome, Photographicapress, which supplies video, web and design services. In 2008 he moves to Paris where he works as a photographer. In 2009 Matteo moves to Japan with his wife where he works on several photographic assignments. In 2010 he creates with other artists a creative open source group (GOLD FINGERS) involved in organizing and promoting art events. In 2011 he works for a japanese company (KUNI Co) which provides consultancy services to automotive design studios (Toyota Boshoku Corp.). In the same year Matteo and his wife moves to Milan where they are currently based.

1980年2月17日、ローマ生まれ。
17歳の時、父の足跡を辿り、写真家として創作を開始する。
2005年、ヨーロッパデザイン学院写真学科を卒業。同年、ロンドンを拠点とした製作会社「フィルム・スタジオ・ロンドン」にて、ファイナルカットプロでの編集作業を担当する。
2007年、ローマにて、ビデオ、ウェブ及びデザインを製作する自社「フォトグラフィカプレス」を設立。
2008年、パリに在住し写真家として活動後、2009年に妻と共に日本に移住する。現在、いくつかの写真プロジェクトが進行中。
