OSAKA CONTEMPORARY ART CENTER
TRANSNATIONAL ART 2012 is the fourth installment of this exciting non-commercial group exhibition held at the prestigious Osaka Contemporary Art Center from January 16th to 21st, 2012. TRANSNATIONAL ART is curated by SoHo Art Gallery and will feature over 45 artists of di...verse national backgrounds working in a wide array of media such as painting, sculpture, photography, etchings, mixed media, installation, video, digital media and performance art. As the only exhibition of its kind in the city, Transnational Art is a focused collaborative effort between Japanese and foreign curators, gallery directors and artists.
This year, the exhibition is made of artists coming from Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Portugal and The United States.
The purpose of the show is to bring to the forefront works and artists form various cultural and national backgrounds, revealing the increasingly global nature of Osaka’s art scene through a strictly curated exhibition. TRANSNATIONAL ART brigs together many new and established artists from across Japan and around the world to share their work with you for one week.

ACCESS:
BY SUBWAY: Tanimachi Subway Line, Tanimachi-4-Chome Station. Look for EXIT 1A, follow the long, white hallway, you will see signage guiding you to the Center. Follow the directions, walk through the gallery with a garden in the middle of it, go up the stairs into the Building and then take the next set of stairs up to the First floor. It's a 3 minute walk altogether.
BY TRAIN: From TENMABASHI station on the Keihan line, take the East Exit and then walk south for about 12 minutes.
BY CAR: Take the Houenzaka Exit on the Hanshin Expressway Higashi Osaka line, It is about 300 meters away from the gallery.
